Recall defenders hard to find

The Providence Journal published a long article about the recall effort against School Committee member Jen Lima, the DEI subcommittee, and other efforts to address inequality and diversity issues in our town. Notably, none of the people the reporter called for comment answered the phone or returned the call except for recent NKHS graduate Jacob Cedor. This included Republican Town Council members Kerry McKay and Mary Brimer, as well as former state representative Doreen Costa, as well as the family members of Hannah Zangari, the losing School Committee candidate who would assume Lima's seat if the recall were successful. All were given the opportunity to defend this petition, and all declined even to try.
