MANY THANKS FOR YOUR GENEROUS OFFERS!!! Donations of all kinds are still needed, but we may also need your patience (or help with temporary storage) for large pieces of furniture like sofas and dressers.
If you plan to drop off at the Senior Center (8am-4pm on Saturday, 12/18), KNOW THIS:
YES to all CLOTHES!
HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES like those pictured below are welcome; check out this afghanreliefri link for specific suggestions.
LAMPS, CHAIRS, SMALL RUGS & TABLES are easy to store and we can't get enough of them. BRING IT ON!
But ... BIG THINGS like sofas, dressers, bureaus, bedsteads (gulp!), carpet rolls, and large dining tables might not be possible for us to either transport or keep! PLEASE EMAIL AHEAD so that you won't be turned away:

P.S. The first family of refugees to be relocated to South County is a family of four children, their parents, grandmother, two aunts, and an uncle. As of this post, teams of volunteers are preparing a multi-room house in Kingston for them to move into shortly. A Wickford house is also being outfitted in the expectation of hosting a different family by the start of the New Year.
